Collection bins for mixed paper are located at Bi-Mart, behind East Wenatchee City Hall, at the Douglas County Public Services Building, 140 19th Street. N.W., East Wenatchee, and at the middle and south end of the Pangborn Memorial Airport hangar areas.
Below is a list of items that can be recycled in with 'Mixed Waste Paper':
Ledger Paper, copy paper, junk mail, paperback books, packing paper (not peanuts or styrofoam), glossy paper, paper egg cartons, shoe boxes, shredded paper, magazines, fax paper, paper bags, file folders, stationary, envelopes, beverage cartons, phonebooks, cereal boxes, newspaper and catalogs. If it's made of paper, and it's not corrugated, then you can recycle it in a Mixed Waste Paper recycling bin anywhere in Douglas County.

2. Contact the Wenatchee Boy Scouts Troop #182 for information regarding Christmas Tree collection & recycling.
3. Contact Resource Conservation to see if there are any useful events that are utilizing live Christmas Trees, such as bank stabilization along the rivers, or for fish habitat.
4. Purchase a synthetic Christmas Tree that can be used each year, thereby cutting down on the number of live trees being destroyed.
5. As a last resort, contact your local waste hauler to find out what their Christmas Tree disposal options are.
Electronics Collection Event

Due to financial constraints during the current economy, this event has been suspended until further notice.

If they still work, the location may try to re-sell the item. If they don't work, or if you specify that you don't want it re-sold, the item will be taken to a larger collection center (associated with each of those agencies), dismantled, and nearly all (99%) of its components will be recycled, rather than destroyed. This is done due to the content of hazardous metals in these items (lead, cadmium, mercury). All other electronic waste (keyboards, mice, stereos, printers, copiers, etc.) are considered to be non-hazardous, and are not currently collected for recycling. These items can be thrown away in your regular garbage, or self-hauled to your local transfer station.
