Douglas County Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan (DCCSWMP)
The Douglas County Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan (DCCSWMP) has been developed to provide elected officials, regulatory authorities, generators, contractors and the general public within the Regional Planning Area (RPA) with a set of recommendations for managing solid and moderate risk wastes for the six year implementation period. The DCCSWMP includes the incorporated and unincorporated areas of Douglas County, except the City of Coulee Dam, which, for the purpose of solid waste planning, is under the jurisdiction of Grant County.

** Public Meetings **
The Countywide Solid Waste Program Office, in conjunction with the Participating Jurisdictions of Douglas County, City of Bridgeport, City of East Wenatchee, City of Rock Island, Town of Mansfield and the Town of Waterville, will hold a series of Public Meetings to provide all the citizens of Douglas County the opportunity to review and discuss the 'proposed' Douglas County Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan. This plan is intended to provide the residents, businesses, regulatory authorities and elected officials within the Regional Planning Area (RPA) with a guide to how solid wastes are to be managed for the next 20 year planning period.
The locations and dates for these Public Meetings are:
Waterville Town Hall, June 7th, at 7:30 pm
Mansfield Town Hall, June 8th, at 7:00 pm
Rock Island City Hall, June 10th, at 7:30 pm
East Wenatchee City Hall, June 22nd, at 6:30 pm
Bridgeport City Hall, June 23rd, at 7:00 pm
Douglas County Courthouse, June 29th, at 1:00 pm
The purpose of these Public Meetings are to allow all the residents of Douglas County the opportunity to review and comment on the recommendations proposed within the Douglas County Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan (see Executive Summary and specific chapters above). Summaries of the 'proposed' plan are available at the respective city or town halls as well as at the Douglas County Courthouse located in Waterville. Plan summaries are also available at the Countywide Solid Waste Program office, located at 140 19th Street N.W., Suite B, in East Wenatchee.
